Why Organic

It’s not just hype!

Buying natural and organic skincare is much bigger than the simple purchase of a wonderfully pure product.  It’s part of a whole synergistic system of soil, plants, people and the environment where each part thrives on the energy and health of the other.  That’s one reason our guiding philosophy at Belletaré is to celebrate beauty individually and globally.

Belletaré uses superior certified-organic ingredients in all its products whenever possible – ingredients that adhere to a rigorous set of standards, affecting how they are grown, harvested, stored, processed and transported. Ultimately, in addition to the many environmental benefits, consumers can be confident they are using only the finest, purest ingredients on their skin.

Our Eco-Friendly Business Practices

At Belletaré, we choose eco-friendly providers for the manufacturing and distribution of all of our 100% natural and organic products.  Like us, they care about their customers as well as the environment.  Here are just a few of the reasons why we proudly choose these vendors:

MANUFACTURING:

Primeflex

    • At PRIMEFLEX, they’ve got a green thing going. They know a lot of their clients expect that from their vendors these days as part of their own sustainability initiative. But in an industry that typically uses nasty chemicals and creates lots of industrial waste, Prime Flex offers a greener scene, throwing in some environmental accountability along with their otherwise fantastic services.
    • They use water-based inks instead of harmful solvent-based inks.
    • They offer fully compostable films made from corn (instead of petroleum).
    • Their production process uses direct to plate technology, reducing material costs, make-ready times and harmful film and processing chemical waste.
    • Their shop cleans up with reusable shop towels rather than disposable wipes.
    •  They use only safely biodegradable products for clean up–-their entire facility is hazardous chemical-free!

        Our Product Manufacturer

  • Dedicated to the reinforcement of man's miraculous relationship with nature. In all they do, they strive to keep a balance between our way of living and our environment.
  • Use  recyclable packaging for all products they make

  • An ECOCERT manufacturer so their cleaning methods are very green and stringent to meet those standards.
  • Throughout the product development process, they are guided by their customer's desires, their years of experience and an intimate relationship with nature. They search the planet to procure the purest and most potent botanicals in order to create personal care products that make a difference to you and the world.
  • Committed to the belief that mankind must not lose the precious little that is left of the wild and natural. They strive to bring conscious awareness to the force nature has in our lives.
  • Their full service contract manufacturing facility specializes in the production of natural personal care products using superior ingredients from suppliers worldwide whom they have chosen because they share their belief in the benefits of natural ingredients.
  • They do not use parabens, sulfates, petrochemicals, synthetic fragrances, synthetic colors or any other harsh ingredients and do not test on animals.

DISTRIBUTION:

Fedex
    • As a leader in the LTL (less-than-truckload) industry, Fed Ex knows how important it is to minimize their impact on the environment. That’s why they have initiated a number of conservation measures to reduce the amount of energy they use on a daily basis. They have also teamed up with other leading organizations to develop green technologies that will help to ensure that their trucks and offices operate as efficiently as possible.
    • FedEx Freight has also teamed up with the EPA SmartWay Transportation Initiative to seek fuel economy improvements and greenhouse gas emission reductions through the testing and deployment of fleet technologies. These include aerodynamic improvements, wide-base tires, automated manual transmissions and numerous other technologies.Fuel savings at FedEx starts with a holistic examination of a customer’s supply chain. FedEx frequently works with customers to analyze and reconfigure their supply chains to enhance efficiencies and reduce customers’ overall environmental footprint.

    • By rebalancing their fleet and optimizing their routes, FedEx Express has improved total fleet miles per gallon within the U.S. by 13.7 percent since 2005, saving 45 million gallons of fuel or 452,573 metrics tons of CO2 emissions.
    • FedEx currently operates the largest fleet of commercial hybrid trucks in North America, consisting of more than 172 hybrid-electric trucks.
    • At FedEx, they have taken a leadership role in the adoption and advancement of responsible environmental practices. They support the growth of sustainable energy use through commitments to renewable power sources in their operations and use of innovative technologies in their transportation fleet. FedEx seeks to diversify its energy supply whenever possible, relying on energy sources such as wind and solar power.
    The environmental benefits include:
    •  More than two billion kilowatt hours of renewable energy generated by sunlight in the first two years of operation.

    • A reduction of 342 tons of carbon dioxide from being emitted into the atmosphere – equivalent to 96 acres of forest saved or a decrease of 850,000 miles driven a year.

    • FedEx Freight also completed the installation of a solar-electric system in Whittier, Calif., and is nearing completion on a similar solar-powered effort in Fontana, Calif. A 282 kilowatt solar power system in Whittier will provide almost 40 percent of the facility’s annual energy needs, while approximately 50 percent of the Fontana facility’s energy needs will now be met by a 269 kilowatt sun-powered system. Combined, the two installations will eliminate 610 metric tons of greenhouse gas emissions each year.
